CapitaLand is ready to shop till it drops. The company develops, manages, and invests in Southeast Asian real estate, especially retail, office, and residential properties. The company owns and manages commercial space in Singapore and throughout Asia and into the Middle East. Subsidiary Ascott Group Limited operates more than 15,000 serviced residence units worldwide. It also develops and manages residential properties in the region and has moved into the tourism, leisure, and convention business. In conjunction with China's state-owned Shenzhen International Trust, CapitaLand is developing a chain of some 20 Wal-Mart-anchored shopping malls in China; it already has some 70 retail malls in that country.
