Cal Dive Company Description
Cal Dive International may or may not be California dreaming, but its waking hours are spent beneath the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The subsea contractor operates a fleet of 24 surface and saturation diving support vessels, six shallow water pipelay vessels, one dedicated pipebury barge, one combination pipelay/derrick barge, and two derrick barges. It installs and maintains offshore platforms, pipelines, and production systems on the Outer Continental Shelf of the Gulf of Mexico, as well as in offshore markets in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Trinidad. Following its 2006 IPO, the formerly subsidiary of Helix Energy Solutions is 58.5%-owned by that company.
