Cagle's Company Description
The people at Cagle's may be outnumbered, but nonetheless, the chickens never have a chance. The poultry company slaughters and processes some 2 million birds each week. Vertically integrated, Cagle's also has breeding, hatching, and feed milling operations (the birds are then raised by about 160 contract grower-farmers). The company specializes in value-added meat -- most of its birds wind up deboned, quick-frozen, marinated, breaded, or otherwise processed to make cooking easier for its retail and foodservice customers. Cagle's has operations in Alabama and Georgia.
