C4 Systems Company Description
General Dynamics C4 Systems (GDC4S), a business unit of General Dynamics, helps fight the "fog of war." The "C4" stands for command, control, computers and communication solutions; in short, the unit makes communications and information systems for military and business customers. Products include battlefield communications systems, combat search and rescue systems (HOOK2), ruggedized computers and displays, and encryption systems. In 2007 the US Department of Justice selected GDC4S to provide nationwide wireless communications services to DoJ field agents. The award is part of a multi-billion dollar Integrated Wireless Network project that will serve the Departments of Justice, Treasury, and Homeland Security.
