Executives at entertainment giant Walt Disney are taking a ride to new roles. Tom Staggs, SEVP and CFO, will trade seats with Jay Rasulo, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, at year-end. Meanwhile, the script at Walt Disney Studios has marketing president Jim Gallagher leaving and Greg Brandeau, formerly technology VP at subsidiary Pixar Animation Studios, starring in the new position of chief technology officer.
Best Buy Co., Inc. (Richfield, MN)
Bob Willett is powering down as international CEO at Best Buy. The consumer electronics retailer does not plan to replace him after he retires at the end of the year.
Bunge Limited (White Plains, NY)
At soy and food processor Bunge, Carl Hausmann, currently CEO of Bunge North America, will assume the newly sprouted role of managing director of global government and corporate affairs on January 1, 2010. Soren Schroder, currently VP of agribusiness for Bunge Europe, will take his vacated spot.
Entergy Corporation (New Orleans, LA)
Utility holding company and nuclear powerhouse Entergy bids farewell on November 30 to retiree Mike Kansler, who was president and chief nuclear officer of subsidiary Entergy Nuclear. John Herron, SVP for nuclear operations, takes Kansler's duties. John McGaha, president of planning and development for Entergy Nuclear, and SVP and deputy general counsel Bud Storey also retire by November 30.
