At home improvement retailer Lowe's Companies, president and COO Larry Stone will retire June 2, 2011. Also, Bob Gfeller will succeed Nick Canter (who is retiring in March) as EVP merchandising, Rick Damron succeeded Michael Brown as EVP store operations, Brown succeeded Steven Stone as EVP and CIO, Doug Robinson was named SVP customer support services, and Richard Maltsbarger was named SVP strategy.

Bunge Limited (White Plains, NY)

At agribusiness Bunge, interim CFO Drew Burke grew to CFO and continues as global operational excellence officer.

Apple Inc. (Cupertino, CA)

Mac, iPod, and iPhone company Apple downloaded former naval officer and National Security Agency/Central Security Service executive David Rice as director global security.

Sara Lee Corporation (Downers Grove, IL)

Packaged meats and frozen bakery products maker Sara Lee has some changes in its oven. EVP and interim CEO Marcel Smits became CEO, and interim CFO and SVP Global Business Solutions Mark Garvey became SVP and CFO. The company will spin off its North American Retail and Foodservice unit and that will be run by CJ Fraleigh.
