Corn bread dressing, fish patties, baked beans, hot wings ... kneel and pray to the almighty buffet. Buffets Holdings is the largest operator of buffet-style restaurants in the US, with more than 550 locations in almost 40 states. Its restaurants, including such chains as HomeTown Buffet, Old Country Buffet, and Ryan's, generally offer self-service buffets featuring entrees, sides, and desserts for an all-inclusive price. In addition to its company-owned locations, Buffets Holdings has nearly 20 franchised restaurants. Buffets Holdings filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2008. Private equity firm CI Capital Partners (formerly Caxton-Iseman Capital) owns nearly 80% of the company.
