Broadlane Company Description
Broadlane directs traffic between hospitals and medical equipment makers. The company is a group purchasing organization (GPO) that negotiates contracts on behalf of its clients, using the combined purchasing power of its client base to get good deals on medical/surgical supplies, capital equipment, drugs, information technology, and even labor. Its proprietary OnRamp portal allows clients to order from an online catalog, view contracts, track pending transactions, and obtain reports. Established in 1999, the company is a spin-off of hospital operator Tenet Healthcare, which remains a client. Broadlane serves more than 900 hospitals and thousands of non-acute care facilities and physicians practices.
