Birka Line Company Description

Birka Line prefers to do business with a touch of elegance. In addition to operating a fleet of more than a half dozen ro-ro (roll-on, roll-off) passenger and freight ferries, the shipping company has a cruise line (Birka Cruises) that sails on the Baltic Sea. The group's cruises sail primarily between Stockholm in Sweden and Mariehamn in Finland. It also has two-day cruises to Helsinki in Finland and summer cruises to Gotland in Poland and Tallinn in Estonia. Its primary cruise vessel, Birka Paradise, holds 1,800 passengers. The company's veteran cruise liner, Birka Princess, was sold to Greek cruiseship operator, Louis, in 2006. The group's Birka Cargo division operates its freight transport ferries.
