BioForm Company Description
Some people believe that wrinkles are a sign, not only of age, but of wisdom and experience. BioForm Medical caters to a different clientele. The company's Radiesse product, a dermal filler used mainly for cosmetic reasons, is injected underneath a patient's facial skin to temporarily mask wrinkles brought on by aging or loss of fat; other uses include the marking of tissue for radiographic purposes. Radiesse is sold directly to physicians in the US and Europe and through distributors in other regions. BioForm's other injectable product, Coaptite, is used to treat abnormalities of the urinary tract in women and children; it is sold primarily in the US through a partnership with distributor Boston Scientific.
