Overview
BCE is Canada's Biggest Communications Enterprise. The company (BCE stands for Bell Canada Enterprises) owns Bell Canada, the incumbent provider of long-distance and local telephone access in Ontario and Quebec, with more than 9 million lines in service. It also provides broadband Internet access to about 3 million subscribers under the Bell Internet banner and digital video subscriptions to more than 2 million viewers via Bell TV. BCE's mobile holdings include wireless carrier Bell Mobility and subsidiary Virgin Mobile Canada (more that 7 million subscribers). It owns 44% of Bell Aliant, which serves more than 2 million local phone and 840,000+ broadband Internet customers in eastern Canada.
