It operates in about 10 Latin American countries through such subsidiaries as BBVA Bancomer in Mexico; Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, Chile; and BBVA Banco Francés in Argentina. With some 8,000 offices in more than 30 countries, the bank offers retail, corporate, and institutional banking; investment banking; asset management; insurance; and Internet banking. BBVA also operates in other European countries (particularly Portugal) and is expanding in the US.
