Barloworld Company Description
Earthmoving events are nothing new for Barloworld Limited, a global distributor of Caterpillar bulldozers, Freightliner trucks, and other construction and industrial equipment. The company's motor segment includes more than 50 automobile dealerships in Australia and South Africa that sell Ford, Land Rover, Nissan, Toyota, and other makes. Barloworld also operates a leasing division and segments that produce cement and lime, coatings, and such scientific products as lasers and optics. In 2007 Barloworld agreed to sell its Ditch Witch distribution business to The Charles Machine Works, the company that manufacturers Ditch Witch.
