Bank Greece Company Description

It manages the country's foreign reserves, issues banknotes, supervises credit and financial institutions, monitors payment and securities settlement systems, and acts as treasurer and fiscal agent for the government. Additionally, it sells insurance through its National Insurance unit. The bank boasts about 30 national branches and is governed by a board of governors accountable to the Greek parliament.
