Overview
A member of Spain's far-reaching Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria family, BBVA Banco Francés is one of Argentina's largest banks. Founded in 1886, it has some 230 offices that provide corporate, business, and individual customers with traditional banking services, as well as credit cards and brokerage services. It owns some 600 ATMs and, as a member of the Banelco cooperative network, offers customers access to another 3,400 ATMs throughout Argentina. The bank also offers asset management services, investment banking, mutual funds, pension fund management, and insurance. Historically, BBVA Banco Francés made loans primarily to large and midsized companies, but today it has a strong focus on government entities.
