Avanade offers such services as operations management, enterprise portal development, and Windows product migration. The company also provides services using Microsoft's .NET offerings, which enable data sharing over the Internet. Microsoft and consulting firm Accenture formed Avanade as a joint venture in 2000. Accenture later increased its stake to about 78%, with Microsoft retaining nearly 20% and employees owning the rest.
