Nov. 25--More Southern Californians are taking to the highways for the holidays and forgoing the cost of air travel. A little more than 2 million Southern Californians will travel today for Thanksgiving, 85 percent via the automobile, according to a study conducted for the Automobile Club of Southern California.

Nov. 24--Gasoline sold for $2.95 on average in San Diego yesterday. It's essentially the same price as a week ago, and 3 cents less than a month ago. According to the Automobile Club of Southern California, gasoline prices have been inching down since September, when they hit their 2009 high of $3.16 two months later than normal.

Nov. 24--More Southern Californians are expected to hit the roads this Thanksgiving than last year, but many will be traveling cheaper and spending less once they arrive at their holiday destinations, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California. Warm weather and clear skies are forecast across much of the state, taking some travel worries out of the equation.
