ASUSTeK Company Description
ASUSTeK Computer is the mother of all motherboard producers. Best known for its massive motherboard production, ASUSTeK (also known as ASUS) also produces cell phones, desktop and notebook computers, graphics cards, optical drives, servers, and networking devices. The company provides its manufacturing services to computer equipment vendors such as Hewlett-Packard and IBM. ASUS was founded by its chairman and CEO, Jonney Shih. In early 2008, ASUS spun off its contract manufacturing services businesses into two wholly owned subsidiaries, Pegatron Technology and Unihan Technology. Following the spinoff, ASUS retained its branded IT product lines.
