A global leader in wireless and technology insurance, Asurion replaces defunct cell phones and other tech equipment, but also provides specialty services such as roadside assistance to stranded motorists via their wireless phones. The firm serves about 80 million end users through partnerships with wireless carriers including Cricket, T-Mobile, and AT&T Mobility. In 2008 Asurion merged with extended service plan provider, N.E.W. Customer Service Companies. Both companies continue to operate independently.
