The company provides customer contact and support services, including roadside assistance to stranded motorists, for the wireless phone industry. It also offers wireless equipment leasing and insurance services, as well as inventory management programs. Asurion serves about 45 million end users through its partnerships with such wireless carriers as ALLTEL, T-Mobile, and Cingular Wireless (now AT&T Mobility). In 2006, Asurion merged with former DST subsidiary lock/line, which processes warranty claims for telecom companies.
