Aselsan Company Description
Aselan Electronic Industries is a bit defensive, and rightly so. The company, founded by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, makes communications, guidance, and systems electronics for military and civilian use. Its products include digital two-way radios, PA systems, security systems, customized electronic warfare and intelligence systems, and microelectronics like semiconductors, microwave hybrid circuits, and light-emitting diode (LED) displays. Non-military products include highway-toll collection systems, a series of analog and digital radios, and large alarm systems. The Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, which founded Aselan in 1975, owns about 85% of the company.
