Andritz is a provider of production equipment focusing on five business areas: pulp and paper, rolling mills and strip processing lines, environment and process technologies, feed and biofuel, and hydro power. The company goes crackers for water turbines and pumps, primarily for the pulp and paper industry. The company's pulp and paper segment is by far its largest segment, bringing in nearly half of the company's sales and profits. CEO Wolfgang Leitner is also the managing director for Certus, an investment firm that owns 26% of Andritz. The company dates back to 1852, when it was established as an industrial foundry and machine works.
