AmeriCares Foundation Company Description
AmeriCares Foundation provides emergency medical aid around the world. The not-for-profit charitable organization helps victims of natural disasters and supports long-term humanitarian programs by collecting medical supplies in the US and overseas and delivering them to places where they are needed. AmeriCares has provided aid in more than 135 countries worldwide. In the US, the organization offers medical assistance, runs a camp for kids with HIV/AIDS, and conducts HomeFront, a program that renovates housing for the needy in parts of Connecticut and New York. Robert C. Macauley founded AmeriCares in 1982.
