American States Water Company Description
American States Water holds the essence of life for Californians and Arizonans. Its main subsidiary, regulated public utility Golden State Water Company (GSWC), which was formerly known as Southern California Water Company, supplies water to about 254,550 customers in 75 communities, primarily in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Orange counties. GSWC's Bear Valley Electric subsidiary distributes electricity to more than 23,270 Californians. American States Water's Chaparral City Water unit serves about 13,500 customers in Fountain Hills and Scottsdale, Arizona.
