American Bicycle Association Company Description

The American Bicycle Association (ABA) likes to get out on the track and pedal hard. The group is the national sanctioning body for BMX (short for Bicycle Motocross) races. ABA has about 60,000 members and organizes local and national BMX races throughout the US. Racers are grouped by ability and age (boys and girls in separate races), the youngest group is seven and under, the oldest 21 and over, and there's a pro class. ABA also sells BMX apparel, publishes BMXer magazine, and provides advice for those who want to start a BMX track. Founded in 1977, the organization says there are more than 270 BMX tracks in the US and Canada.
