Overview
ALSTOM provides the Japanese market with a wide range of power generation equipment and services. Its power products include heaters, soot blowers, and other equipment for energy plants; environmental systems for controlling pollution; and gas, steam, and hydraulic turbines. ALSTOM is a leading maker of rail equipment, such as railcars and signaling devices, and it builds luxury passenger ships, naval vessels, and natural gas tankers in association with Aker Yards of Norway. ALSTOM also provides management and support services. The company has offices throughout Japan. ALSTOM's roots in Japan date back to a trading firm established in 1907.
