All American Plazas (AAP) operates about a dozen combination convenience store, gasoline sales, and restaurant centers in parts of New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington DC under the All American, Gables, and Petro names. Some locations offer services such as oil changes, lube jobs, inspections, and minor mechanical repairs such as headlamp changes, brake adjustments, and tire changes. Able Energy, a New Jersey-based heating oil and fuel distributor, acquired a majority stake in AAP in 2005 for about $35 million. In 2007 Able acquired AAP's truck stops in return for a 75% stake in Able, making AAP Able's largest shareholder. Able Energy plans to use AAP's locations to sell its energy products.
