Alberto-Culver Company Description

From the bathroom to the kitchen to the laundry room, Alberto-Culver has you covered. It makes products for hair care (Alberto VO5, Nexxus, TRESemmé), skin care (St. Ives), and personal care (FDS); sweeteners and seasonings (Baker's Joy, Mrs. Dash); and laundry-care items (Static Guard). In late 2006 Alberto-Culver parted ways with its Sally Beauty unit, the world's #1 beauty supply retailer and distributor to professionals and consumers. The move included a split with its Beauty Systems Group. Alberto-Culver sold its Cederroth business, which served Nordic countries, to CapMan in 2008 and then acquired the Noxzema brand from Procter & Gamble (P&G).
