Albecca has a clear picture of the custom framing industry. Doing business as Larson-Juhl, it makes and distributes framing products, including wood and metal molding, to art galleries, home decor centers, and independent framers worldwide. Its moldings are sold under the Larson-Juhl Classic Collection name; it has an agreement with Jonathan Adler for high-style frames. Albecca also offers matboard and foam board, glass, and related supplies (such as joining machines and matboard cutters). The company operates about 25 facilities in the US as well as locations in some 15 other countries. Warren Buffett and his investment group Berkshire Hathaway bought the firm from designer Craig Ponzio and his wife in 2002.
