Aisan Company Description
Aisan Industry's products inject life into a car's engine. The company makes electronic fuel injection products (accelerator pedal, fuel pump, and intake modules; fuel injectors, fuel pumps, throttle bodies), plus carburetors, engine valves, and gaseous fuel systems. It has three plants in Japan and about a dozen outside the country, including some in China, the Czech Republic, France, and the US (Franklin Precision Industry). Denso acquired some 10% of Aisan from Toyota in 2007, but Toyota still controls about a third of the voting rights. Founded in 1938 to make war supplies, Aisan shifted to auto parts after WWII.
