AIS aims to maintain its position as Thailand’s top wireless service provider. Advanced Info Service (or AIS) provides some 15 million Thai customers with mobile phones, digital and cellular service, and other related services, including GIS, mobile bill payment, mobile office, and data services (such as stock alerts, television, and Internet access). AIS subsidiary Advanced Contact Center (ACC) provides call center and customer-relations services for its parent, as well as for other companies. Thai telecommunications holding titan Shin Corporation owns about 43% of AIS and Singtel Strategic Investments owns nearly 20%.
