Not to be confused with the inflatable palaces parents rent for their for kids' birthday parties, Aircastle Limited is an aircraft leasing concern. The company owns a portfolio of jet aircraft which it leases to passenger and cargo airlines. Aircastle boasts a portfolio of more than 130 aircraft which are leased to about 60 different lessees. The lessees of Aircastle's aircraft are responsible for maintaining the planes as well as paying operational and insurance expenses. The company's leases are managed from offices in Ireland, Singapore, and the US. Aircastle also invests in debt securities secured by commercial jet aircraft.
