Air Transport Services Group Company Description
Air Transport Services Group (ATSG, formerly ABX Holdings) aims to ensure your packages get to their destination on time. Its main unit, cargo airline ABX Air, works for express delivery company DHL (USA) under an ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, insurance) contract and a hub services agreement, in which ABX Air provides package sorting services. (However, in order to cut costs, DHL has announced it is closing its operations within the US.) ABX Air operates 100 aircraft from the hub it shares with DHL in Wilmington, Ohio, and about 15 regional hubs; it offers overnight service throughout the US and Canada. ATSG also owns airfreight carriers Air Transport International and Capital Cargo International Airlines.
