Air China Company Description
A leading people-mover in the country with the world's largest population, Air China provides domestic and international passenger and cargo transportation. The company serves some 80 destinations in China and about 40 destinations in nearly 30 other countries. Air China operates from hubs in Beijing and Shanghai and in the western city of Chengdu. The carrier maintains a fleet of about 220 aircraft, mainly Boeing models. It has code-sharing partnerships with All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, and UAL's United Airlines, among others. The Chinese government, through China National Aviation Corporation (Group), controls a two-thirds stake in Air China.
