Ahlstrom Corporation is on a high-fiber diet. Formerly known as A. Ahlstrom Corporation, the materials company has reorganized around two divisions: FiberComposites (nonwovens, glass nonwovens, and filtration materials) and Specialty Papers (label and packaging papers and technical papers). The Specialty Papers division includes the former LabelPack and Specialties divisions. Applications for Ahlstrom's products include masking tape, coffee and automotive filters, self-adhesive labels, flexible packaging, and roofing material. The founding Ahlstrom family controlled the company from its founding in 1851 until its initial public offering in 2006.
