Agrial Company Description
French agri-food empire Société Cooperative Agricole et Agro-Alimentaire, or Agrial, provides a rich crop of agricultural products as one of the country's largest food cooperatives. Created in 2000 from the merger of three co-ops -- Agralco, Orcal, and Coop Can -- Agrial grows, processes, and markets vegetables, cereals, beef, pork, poultry, and dairy products, selling its wares in France and in other European countries. It also mills flour, and operates hardware stores and nursery and garden centers under the Point Vert and Magasin Vert names. Subsidiaries include Soléco and Prim'co. Agrial and Coopagri-Bretagne cooperate in the pig-production venture Gie Capig.
