Overview
For Afone, you're never alone if you've got a phone. The company offers small businesses and retail companies in France its telecom services, electronic banking services, and telesurveillance services. Afone has agreements and partnerships with major French telecoms Completel Europe, Neuf Cegetel, and France Telecom. In 2006, the group launched the Afonebox, used to connect consumer telecom equipment with Completel's network in 110 cities across France. It branched out into the world of cell phones a year later with a joint venture wireless service sold through supermarket retailer Leclerc. Chairman Philip Fournier owns 41% of the company, which was established in 1997.
