The club later won its first National Championship in 1918 under coach Jack Reynolds, who led the team for 35 years. AFC Ajax moved from De Meer to the Amsterdam Arena stadium, which seats nearly 52,000 people, in 1996 and won its14th Dutch Cup in 1998. AFC Ajax is also well-known for its youth training programs.
