Adventist HealthCare serves metropolitan Washington, DC, and portions of northwestern New Jersey, through a network that includes three acute care hospitals (Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Washington Adventist Hospital, and Hackettstown Regional Medical Center); two inpatient rehabilitation facilities (operating as the Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital of Maryland); and the Potomac Ridge Behavioral Health System, which provides inpatient and outpatient mental health services. Owned by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Adventist HealthCare also operates a number of home health care agencies and nursing homes. Combined, the health care network has more than 850 acute care, rehab, and behavioral health beds.
