One of the country's largest faith-based hospital systems, not-for-profit Adventist Health System runs about 40 hospitals and 15 nursing homes, as well as more than 20 home health care agencies. Its acute care hospitals have more than 6,300 beds combined, and its long-term care facilities offer more than 2,000 beds.
