ADL plc Company Description
ADL plc (formerly Matrix Healthcare PLC) owns and manages about ten nursing homes and care facilities with about 300 beds in the UK, and it manages another for the South Garth Residential Care Home Partnership. In 2004 ADL acquired Newsham House Limited (which it later made dormant), Woodland Healthcare Limited, and later Jubilee House (which ADL formerly managed). That year also brought new management and a name change to the company; it took on the moniker ADL, taken from what it calls the "basis of patient assessment - Activities of Daily Living."
