ADB Airfield Solutions (formerly Siemens Airfield Solutions) can shed some light on landings, takeoffs, and other aircraft endeavors. The company makes products that illuminate approach zones, aprons, main runways, and taxiways. From the largest freight hub in the world to small regional airports, ADB's products can be found in virtually any airport. Other products include externally lighted wind cones, guidance and control monitoring systems, and cables and connectors. ADB also acts as a turnkey contractor for a variety of airport projects. Montagu Private Equity acquired ADB in November 2009 for €45 million ($60 million) from German giant Siemens AG, which had owned the airfield lighting business since 1987.
