ADA-ES Company Description
ADA-ES is trying to make "clean coal" more than just a marketing term. The company, which was spun off from Earth Sciences in 2003, makes environmental technology systems and specialty chemicals that reduce emissions at coal-burning power plants. It offers integrated mercury control systems, as well as flue gas conditioning and combustion aid chemicals. ADA-ES also provides consulting and testing services and mercury measurement equipment. In 2006 ADA-ES set up a joint venture with NexGen Refined Coal to market proprietary coal technology that reduces emissions of nitrogen oxides and mercury from some treated coals.
