Acushnet stays teed off all the time. The company is a top maker of golf balls, clubs, shoes, gloves, and other golfing equipment and accessories. Its Titleist golf balls and FootJoy golf shoes and gloves are #1 sellers in the US. Acushnet also makes value-priced Pinnacle golf balls, Titleist golf clubs, Scotty Cameron putters, and Vokey Design wedges, as well as golf bags and outerwear. Products are sold worldwide through golf pro shops, specialty sporting goods stores, and mass merchants. PGA players who have used Acushnet's equipment include Adam Scott, Davis Love III, Geoff Ogilvy, and Mark O'Meara. Global Fila brand owner Fila Korea bought Acushnet from spirits maker Beam Inc. (formerly Fortune Brands) for $1.2 billion in mid-2011.
