Overview

And God said, "Let there be light," and there was Acuity Brands. Acuity Brands, through its subsidiaries, manufactures and distributes a range of indoor/outdoor lighting fixtures and control systems. Applications include residential, as well as commercial and institutional buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure projects (highways, airports, and tunnels). Its services provide wireless and network control-based lighting, energy audits, and turn-key labor renovation. The company's 14 plants in the US and Mexico, and two in Europe, turn out some 500,000 offerings under such brands as Holophane, Gotham, and Lithonia. About 90% of sales are made in the US; Home Depot accounts for more than 10% of sales.
