Overview

Actual results may vary, but Actuant consistently produces a range of tools and equipment. It makes electrical and industrial tools, such as wire connectors, switches, transformers, and tools, for wholesale and retail distribution under such brand names as Acme Electric, Gardner Bender, and Kopp. Actuant's engineered solutions product line includes Power-Packer brand drive systems for hydraulic cab-tilt systems for heavy-duty trucks and automotive convertible top systems. The company also offers cable, synthetic rope, pipeline connectors, and equipment rental for the energy industry. Caterpillar, BorgWarner, BP, Petrofac, and West Marine are among its customers. Actuant has operations in about 30 countries.
