Actelios Company Description
It would be a shame to waste waste when you can put it to good use. Actelios is focused on producing energy from renewable sources at its waste-to-energy plants. Its power plant in Calabria is set up to generate energy from biomass (agricultural waste, animal waste, etc.), while other plants use solid urban waste as an energy source. The company also operates waste treatment and disposal plants, and it recycles waste in an industrial composting operation near Milan. Actelios and Falck S.p.A., which owns about 69% of Actelios, are both included in the Falck Group of companies; another 4.5% of Actelios is owned by Italgest Energia.
