Turning the rains -- and the wind -- on the plains of Spain into electricity provides the current for growth at ACS Actividades de Construcción y Servicios, one of Spain's largest construction groups. ACS operates in four business areas: construction, including civil engineering and building; industrial services, including installation and maintenance services to the energy sector; services, including environmental, logistics, transport, and maintenance; and concessions, comprising highway, parking lot, and airport management. It has a controlling stake in former rival Dragados, with which it has merged. Other stakes include nearly 25% in concessions company Abertis, and 10% of electric utility IBERDROLA.
