ACHP Company Description
There's no time like the present to preserve the past. That's why there's the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. The independent federal agency promotes the preservation, enhancement, and productive use of America's historic resources, and advises the US president and Congress on historic preservation policy. Projects in which the council has been involved include the demolition of historic New Orleans' properties damaged by Hurricane Katrina, construction of a National Science Foundation-funded telescope located near sacred Arizona Tohono O'odham Nation land, and the renovation of the US Treasury building.
