Components are just Acal away. Acal is a value-added distributor of electronic components and information technology (IT) products and parts for international suppliers. Its Electronics division sells electronic products that include capacitors, electromechanical and magnetic components, power supplies, and radio-frequency and microwave components. Acal has sold its IT Solutions division (document management and imaging products and software under the Headway brand, along with networking and storage components), which is behind about 40% of sales, to Avnet for £41 million (nearly $83 million) in cash.
