WASHINGTON Al Jazeera English received its first recognition from the Intl. The Qatar-based broadcaster tied with Brazil's TV Globo, which also pulled two noms. Winners in the news and current affairs categories will be announced at a ceremony to be held at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall of Jazz in New York on Sept. 22.
